SIS CLADAG 2007

Francesco Palumbo writes:

I am pleased to announce you that the next meeting of the CLAssification and Data Analysis Group (CLADAG) of the Italian Statistical Society will be held in Macerata in September 2007. As you know, CLADAG is member of the International Federation of Classification Societies (IFCS) and, according to the IFCS exchange and cooperation spirit, it is devoted to the promotion of an exchange of ideas between IFCS members and between the IFCS and other groups or scientific societies.

CLADAG conference is articulated on key-note lectures, invited paper session on specific topics and contributed papers. Conference proceeding will be published in English by an international publisher. Some eminent colleagues have already confirmed their participation. Key-note lectures and specialized session will be soon announced on the Conference web-site.

The past editions have been characterized by significant presence of foreign participants. For the next edition we would like to increase the connection level with other groups and members of the IFCS. I would be grateful to you if you can publicize the event among the members of your society or group. Here enclosed you will find the pamphlet where more, and more detailed information about the event are available. Updated information are available at the conference website: http://cladag2007.unimc.it/ .

Macerata is a typical medieval village in central Italy, its ancient University - more than 700 years old - is a perfect setting for a productive meeting in a relaxing environment. Being the conference held in the summer, cheap flight connections between Rimini airport and many of the principal European towns will be available. You can find some interesting links to the city of Macerata and its surrounding area on the pages of the Italian tourism office web-site (http://www.enit.it/default.asp?Lang=UK).
