A number of social events are scheduled for this year's meeting.
July 14. 5:00-7:00 PM: Informal reception in MTCC ballroom (sponsored by SPSS).
July 15. Reception dinner cruise on Lake Michigan, boarding at 6:00 PM at Navy Pier, cruise ends around 10:00 PM.
July 16. 12:00-1:30 PM: American style picnic at Morton Park, IIT (hamburgers, hotdogs, etc.)
July 16. 6:00-9:00 PM: IFCS Council business meeting and dinner, Chicago Firehouse Restaurant. (for Council members and invited guests only).
July 17. 7:00-10:00 PM: Conference banquet at MTCC (tickets $50.00 each)
July 18. 6:00-8:00 PM: HUB Ballroom, “The Myths and Magic of Scotch Malt Whisky,” a special presentation about classifying single malt whiskeys by David Wishart followed by a tasting, with whiskeys furnished by David's suppliers. See Dr. Wishart's abstract for details.
Banquet tickets can be purchased with registration. The cost of the other social prgram activities is included with registration for the meeting.
